Welcome to “ASAKA“
Originally from Osaka city, Japan, Chef Koji Ando.
The Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe, Japan areas are called “KANSAI” which is place for having a traditional Japanese Cuisine known as “WASHOKU-KAPPOU”. It is rumored at one point. Osaka was originally pronounced “ASAKA” which was the inspiration of the restaurant’s name later.
In 1984, Chef Koji moved to America to work in his friend’s restaurant, one of the first Japanese restaurants introduced in Florida. Since then he has made a large client base through his innovative style and passion for food for more than four decades.
In 1994, Koji opened his own restaurant called “ASAKA” in Aventura, Florida. Today, he is still proud to have one of the few restaurant with authentic Japanese Cuisine that can bring culture and tradition to South Florida.
